The Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, Omicron Chapter started as a local sorority at the Michigan State Normal College when the Alpha Beta Sigma Sorority began in 1912. In January, 1917 this local sorority joined the national Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority and is often referred to as Tri-Sig.
